Projects in progress: A look behind the scenes

Still then many things are in progress that we are still excited to share about. Here is a little look behind the scenes of our ongoing work:

We are taking more formal steps to improve and elevate the ergonomics of our products and, thus, enhance the experience of our end-users. We are looking at what types of strain our various devices have on the operator’s muscle groups or posture. We are doing various things to achieve this. For example, we both a sensor suit which helps demonstrate the strain caused by our products. We compare this with competing products and see how we can improve.

The first study has already been conducted, where we compared the ergonomics of the I-mop with those of a traditional mop and bucket. The initial results demonstrated that the I-mop significantly reduces the risks of injury.

In February 2023 we launched a refurbishment program for our products. Repeatability and longevity have always been in our DNA at a high level when it comes to the lifetime of our machines. We already create products with reusable and interchangeable components. Now we have also established a system where we buy back the products, take care of repairs, or re-use the functional components. This allows us to extensively extend the lifetimes of our products.

In July 2023 we achieved one of our personal milestones: submitting our B Impact Assessment. This process involved gathering key information about our impact on governance, workers, community, the environment, and customers. It also meant embracing the B Corp ideals and methods, and expanding these throughout the organisation. As a certified B Corp we would join over 7,000 certified organisations working to balance people and profit, and building a regenerative economy. We are looking forward to achieving our certification.

The CSRD is the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, a new European legislation requiring organisations to report on the impacts of their corporate activities on the environment and society. This will mean a lot of paperwork, reporting, and materiality assessments, and will impact the entire supply-chain, all our partners, and our end-users.

We have starting laying the groundwork and preparing for the CSRD, as well as ensuring that our I-partners, go-partners, and the whole supply-chain is supported by us.
